If your mama heart is feeling the FOMO of what to do with your family this weekend, Kaylen of South Houston Moms has you covered! South Houston is huge and there's SO much for families to do. It can be downright overwhelming to narrow your choices down, especially if you're unsure if its something you're kids will actually enjoy. Well, Mamas, rejoice! Kaylen's done the legwork and brought so many ideas into one place.
As members of a the larger Local Mom's Network, she and her team post valuable resource material about family-friendly events, classes, products, and more happening in our community. Not to mention her blog is littered with so many exclusive coupon codes from many of these vendors. That's a win!
As a momma of three silly kiddos herself, Kaylen knows just what parents are looking for in time spent out and about with their kids. I love that her goal is just like ours--to enrich the lives of families in this area.
So, naturally...Wild and Free Photography and South Houston Moms both welcomed an opportunity to collaborate on capturing her family's beautiful, ordinary day.
I got to spend three hours documenting their Christmas traditions, downtime, and birthday celebrations on a (very) rainy afternoon. Despite the chill of the weather, their home was full of light and love. Here are some moments we captured during our time together.

Capturing all those little acts of service parents do that say, "I love you."
Their family has a tradition in which the kids get a tree all to themselves. They can go nuts with ornament placement and load it on up with candy canes.
Lil sis is very excited to celebrate her birthday later. She's turning 4, ya'll.

Group coloring soon turned into lil bro getting told he needed to take his enthusiasm down a notch.
Both sets of grandparents joined us on zoom. No rainy roads could keep them from being a part of this special day.

Bringing out the cakes and singing happy birthday "too loudly" had some mixed reactions.
Thank you to Kaylen and her family for welcoming me into their home. We captured such beautiful memories for their family to treasure forever.
